The Science Channel showcases the technology of Light Beam Industries in their currently airing series, Invention Nation. The show, featuring Chris, Nobu and Micah, three self-professed hackers, takes them on a country-wide journey in search of eco-friendly technology. Along the way, they meet inventors of all kinds whose ideas and innovations push the envelope of green technology.

Featured in Episode 3, titled "Sun Power," the group takes an interest in Light Beam's solar collector unit, and we outfit their bus with energy efficient fluorescent fiber, powered by our 5-watt illuminators. In the segment, they learn about our patented technology that allows us to efficiently capture the energy from a light source and channel it into usable optical fiber. Because the show centers around the theme of green technology, our low-heat, energy efficient illuminators get put to work lighting the interior of their bus with a dazzling neon sign effect.
